ISIS 2025 begins today, Thursday, 6 November, and runs through Sunday, 9 November in Cheongju. Our host city is renowned for Jikji (1377), the world’s oldest extant book printed with metal movable type, produced at Heungdeoksa Temple—about 70 years before Gutenberg’s press.

Over four days, the program features plenary lectures, invited talks, and oral sessions, alongside warm community events:

  • Welcome Reception: Thursday evening

  • Young Researchers’ Meet-up: Friday evening (for graduate students and early-career scholars)

  • Cultural Excursion: Saturday afternoon (12:00–17:30)

  • Conference Banquet: Saturday evening at Cheongnamdae (the former presidential villa)

We are confident that scholars and engineers will further strengthen the collaborations and friendships built over the past 26 years, and that early-career researchers and students will forge new bonds across generations.

Enjoy your time in Cheongju and have a rewarding academic journey at ISIS 2025!
